Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision. This enjoyable phase is followed by mild spices, but then suddenly the composition thins out to a nondescript woody base in about two hours. This is a similar trick that the debut Versace masculine Versace L'Homme (1984) would also perform, but Armani Eau Pour Homme doesn't go in the same powdery "gentleman's night out" direction that the Versace scent takes, keeping it from being a link to later powdery oakmoss semi-oriental chypres like Guerlain Héritage (1992). Luckily, someone told me to grab a bottle of Adolfo Domínguez' Agua Fresca – not the extreme, not the cedro, but the original. Lemon, vetiver, lavender , lilly, musk and a touch of oakmoss: everything you need to smell like an elegant gentleman, this is the Mastroianni of the fragrances.

The original had a similar spice but from memory came out more clove like to me and made it smell a bit too old for me at the time whilst I didn't detect this in this current reformulation.Armani describes the new fragrance Eau pour homme, as radiant and powerful without being overpowering. It made me curious about the original formulation and I would be curious to try that, to see if it has that special thing that I liked. Beautiful, I own this vintage version, I love it deeply, a riot of freshness, but don't be fooled by the first sensations, its heart and above all the base is a masterpiece, I honestly don't know the current one but I can assure you that with this perfume you will be catapulted into an era where you were certainly not afraid to dare!

Suggested use is office or casual spring and summer outdoors, since something this bright and mild-mannered would take a beating and go invisible in the cold air, with wear time is adequate for an eau de toilette at about 7 hours max. When I got home I discovered it, gave it a try and instantly wished I had bought it instead of Monogram. Giorgio Armani was just finding his stride as fashion mogul by the early 1980's, having done his time as a designer for Nino Cerruti in the 1960's before launching his eponymous house in 1975. Once Giorgio Armani Eau Pour Homme EDT has reached its full dry-down, it can be summarized as a moderate projection, musky, mossy and green fragrance with spicy, woody and soft floral accords. There's not a lot more that can be said about such a controlled exercise in chypre craft, outside the fact that it avoids being a total oakmoss bomb due to it's "eau" lightness in the sillage department. INGREDIENTS: 738153 04 - INGREDIENTS: ALCOHOL • AQUA / WATER • PARFUM / FRAGRANCE • LIMONENE • LINALOOL • ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE • COUMARIN • CITRAL • BHT • BUTYL METHOXYDIBENZOYLMETHANE • ETHYLHEXYL SALICYLATE • HYDROXYCITRONELLAL • EUGENOL • GERANIOL • HEXYL CINNAMAL • BENZYL ALCOHOL • CITRONELLOL • BENZYL SALICYLATE • BENZYL BENZOATE • ISOEUGENOL • FARNESOL • CI 60730 / EXT. It quickly moves into lavender, clove and oakmoss giving it that classic 80's smoky masculine scent which is hit or miss depending on the wearer. The only thing that gets one attention is the bergamont/lemon opening, but since it lasts very little, its not worth the money. I think this fragrance it will be a must have always in my closet, because in my opinion this is the scent for a man.

I could imagine Gordon Gekko wearing this fragrance in the 80's or a stylishly dressed man in an Italian suit. I used to own a huge collection of natural essential oils and this frag is clearly based on pure extracts. The original, which lasted for nearly 30 years, was a wonderful explosion of mandarin, orange, bergamot and other citrus notes.I feel that I'm a bit to young for this fragrance(I'm 27), but maybe it's because of the memory of my grandfather. I’ve been looking for a replacement signature nothing comes even close, no TF no Creed can scale these highs. Top notes are Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Green Orange and Basil; middle notes are Lavender, Nutmeg, Carnation, Jasmine, Lily, Rose and Cinnamon; base notes are Oakmoss, Vetiver, Cedar, Sandalwood, Musk and Patchouli.
